The Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas has commended the Senator representing Taraba Central Senatorial District, Haruna Manu over his power project in his constituency. Speaking through his representative, Commissioner for Science and Technology, Hon Muslim Usman Aruwa at the handover ceremony of two installed giant transformers to officials of the National Grid in Jantara Power Station in Mutum-Biyu, Kefas said:
“Distinguished Senator, your impact as a leader in the state has been felt across board. You have empowered many youths in diverse ways and provided succor to the less privileged at several instances.
“Today, we are here again to witness yet another gigantic project you have passionately provided for your people. This Power Project will go a long way to improve the standard of life of the people in this area. It will provide job opportunities and reduce idleness among youths in these communities. You are indeed, doing well, please continue.
Usman stated that, “I want to use this time, to encourage you to continue with the good works so that you will complement the efforts of the State Government towards improving the living condition of the entire people of our dear state”
Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, I wish to appreciate Almighty God for seeing us through the previous year despite all the challenges. I give thanks to Almighty God, for his mercy and unfailing love towards us especially for bringing us together into this blissful year of hope, 2024

“We must ensure that we better the lives of our people through creation of jobs and improving on the educational system of the state. The declaration of free education for both Primary and Secondary Schools and the reduction in school fees by 50% for state own Tertiary institutions are part of the efforts the State Government is making to ensure it better the lives of everyone and we need people like you to keep doing these good works to complement our efforts
“Ladies and Gentlemen, may I use this moment to appreciate our Royal Fathers who are working tirelessly to ensure that we all are doing well in our domains. I enjoin each and every one of you to shun all forms of criminality and support your leaders. You have given them the mandate to serve you, so you must have to support them to enable them deliver on their promises. “I want to at this Juncture, implore all of you to enjoy every bit of this programme. May this yuletide season be a prosperous one to all of us?
