The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has approved the posting of newly promoted Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG Olukayode Egbetokun Adeolu, to man Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID) Force Headquarters; Abuja As deployment of 36 newly promoted Commissioner of Police was also released today.
This was contained in a statement signed by Force Public Relation officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi at Force Headquarters Abuja.
CSP Adejobi said, “DIG Egbetokun hails from Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State and holds BSc. (Hons.) Degree in Mathematics Education, MSc. in Engineering Analysis, and a Master’s of Business Administration degree”. He said, “DIG Egbetokun has attended various courses both home and abroad, and has served in various investigative, operational, and administrative capacities including as Commander Rapid Response Squad (RSS) Lagos; Head Anti-Fraud, FCT Command; CP Kwara State amongst others. He was until his recent promotion, the AIG in charge of Zone 7 Abuja, comprising the FCT and Niger State”.
However, IGP Alkali also approved posting/redeployment of thirty-six (36) Commissioners of Police to various Commands and Formations.
The Commissioner of Police Zubairu Abubakar is now to lead Operations, DOPS FHQ, CP Pam Joseph moved to CP Homicide FCID Abuja, Commissioner of Police Disu Olatunji Rilwan is now CP DFA Force Intelligence Bureau in Abuja, CP Emuobo F. Ekokotu will lead Railway Lagos, CP Nemi E. Osigboboka Iwois now CP Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), CP Salman Dogo Garba is now commissioner of Police General Investigations FCID Abuja, CP Dungus Ali Monguno is CP PAP Western Lagos , CP Audu Ali Dabigi is now CP Police Mobile Force FHQ, Anti-Fraud FCID Annex Lagos will be led by CP Patrick A. Atayero, INEC Abuja will be led by CP Olaiya Victor Mobolaji, CP CCR is now CP Olaolu A. Adegbite,
Also Armament FCH Abuja will be led by CP Mohammed S. Dalijan, as Force Provost Marshal is now CP Dan-Mamman E. Shawulu, CP Servicom, R&P, FHQ Abuja is now CP Clement Robert, CP X-Squad FCID Abuja is CP Rhoda Olofu, CP Anti-Human Trafficking is CP Onah Ambrose Sunny and CP PAP Eastern is CP Yetunde Longe with 19 others.
CSP Adejobi said the posting takes immediate effect as Inspector-General of Police tasked, deployed senior officers to ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures in the discharge of their responsibilities, he instructed all newly posted and redeployed officers to strive to ensure that their Commands, Formations, and Departments comply with the Police Reform mandate.
