FCT Police Command Operatives have successfully saved a man identified as Shuaibu Alhaji Yusha who climbed a very high mast with a placard at ASO Radio in Katampe at about 09:10 a.m attempted to commit suicide. This was achieved as a result of a distress call from concerned citizens about him.
This was disclosed by Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh. She said operatives of the FCT Police Command swiftly mobilized to the location. With much professional persuasions from the police operatives, he was prevented from taking his own life.
The man claimed to have been observing the mast for about a week before decided to climb the mast. SP Josephine revealed that the suspect is presently in police custody and in a stable condition, assured general public of giving details in due course.
